Position 职位名称: Finance Business Partner / FP&A Manager, China

Job Description:

Responsible for the China’s offices accounting and finance matters and directly report to Regional Chief Financial officer (“CFO”).


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead FP&A activities for all China offices, including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Guangzhou, ensuring timely, accurate and high-quality financial consolidation, reporting and analysis.
  2. Monitor and analyze revenue versus budget/forecast, gross margin, operating profit, operating expenses, cash flow, working capital, accounts receivable, underbilling and project profitability across China entities and business lines.
  3. Drive the budgeting, forecasting and planning cycles for the China business, and provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the Regional CFO, CEO and senior management.
  4. Review business performance by office, entity, business line and project. Identify key financial risks and opportunities, propose corrective actions and monitor implementation.
  5. Drive working capital improvement, including accounts receivable collection, billing progress, underbilling reduction, WIP control and cash flow forecasting.
  6. Monitor, review and challenge operating expenses across all China offices. Analyze cost structures and identify cost optimization and efficiency improvement opportunities.
  7. Participate in contract, commercial and procurement reviews, including assessment of pricing, margins, payment terms, billing milestones, cash flow impact, procurement costs and financial risks.
  8. Ensure accurate project accounting, including revenue recognition, cost reporting, accruals, provisions, cost-to-complete analysis and project margin analysis.
  9. Review financial reporting from China offices to HQ, identify material fluctuations, and report key findings, risks and recommendations to the Regional CFO.
  10. Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, compliance and audit readiness across China offices.
  11. Support and coordinate external and internal audits by reviewing key schedules, addressing audit queries, ensuring proper documentation, and following up on audit findings and closure actions.
  12. Together with the CFO, guide and train finance leads in China offices on business partnering, project accounting, reporting discipline and financial controls.
  13. Support treasury-related matters from a business and project perspective, including review of performance guarantee applications, cash flow impact, and related financial exposures.
  14. Act as a hands-on finance business partner with strong understanding of local China processes, and directly take on the finance preparer role for an assigned China entity when required, while also providing backup support to other China entities to ensure business continuity and continuing to cover the broader China FP&A, reporting, business partnering, compliance and control responsibilities.
  15. Serve as the key finance contact and “go-to person” for China office management on financial, commercial, project accounting, working capital, cost control and compliance matters.
  16. Work closely with project, commercial, procurement, operations and finance teams to ensure key business and finance processes remain active, coordinated and well-controlled, supporting daily operations and management decision-making.
  17. Perform other accounting, finance, analysis, reporting or ad hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Above 5 years’ finance and accounting experience, experience in engineering industry is value added.
  • Workable English, CET 6
