Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China New Event Payment Policy
Dear Members and Friends,
To enhance operational efficiency and ensure fairness in our event management, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China (SwedCham China) will implement a new Event Payment Policy, effective 1 December 2025.
This policy has been reviewed and approved by the SwedCham Board of Directors, and aims to create a smoother and more accountable payment process for all participants across our events nationwide.
What’s Changing
- Advance Payment Requirement
Tickets must be paid in advance, and proof of payment must be completed prior to the event in order to receive entry or event tickets.
- Exceptions
Any exceptions — such as corporate tables or large-volume ticket purchases — require prior approval from the General Manager.
- Late Payment and Administrative Fee
In cases of delayed payment, an administrative fee of RMB 200 will be charged per reminder, issued at two-week intervals until full payment is received. The first reminder and corresponding RMB 200 fee will be sent 14 days after the event date, followed by subsequent reminders every two weeks thereafter if payment remains outstanding.

For members, this update ensures greater efficiency and transparency, allowing smoother financial processing and fewer follow-ups.
For non-members, the policy standardizes payment procedures and ensures equal accountability for all event attendees.
All participants are kindly reminded to complete payment promptly after registration to avoid additional charges and administrative reminders.
