Business visas to Sweden and Bona Fide status

This Tuesday, May 26, The Swedish Chamber of Commerce has the great honor to invite Clara Eriksson, Head of the Migration Section, and Benny Ambohm, Decision Making Officer from the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing, to our Beijing office for an insightful session on Swedish business visa policies and business mobility between China and Sweden.

This year’s session was held in a hybrid format, combining both online and offline participation. For the first time, members also had the opportunity to attend the event in person, creating a more interactive environment for open discussions, direct exchanges with the Embassy representatives, and stronger networking opportunities within the Swedish and Chinese business communities.

During the event, Clara shared the latest visa statistics, updates on Schengen business visa procedures, and practical guidance on the Bona Fide program for companies with strong Sweden-China ties. Attendees also gained valuable insights into documentation requirements, work permit exemptions.

A key highlight of the session was the announcement of the regionalization of Sweden’s migration section in China. The migration section in Shanghai will be officially move to Beijing in 2026. The change aims to centralize migration operations in Beijing while maintaining smooth and efficient services for applicants across China.
