Höganäs inaugurates new Qingpu site in China following successful relocation

Höganäs today officially inaugurated the opening of its new site in Qingpu, following the relocation of its operations within the same area. The new site marks a key milestone in the company's more than 30 years of presence in China and reinforces its long-term commitment to one of its most important markets. Completed earlier this year, the relocation provides Höganäs with a modern site
designed with a strong focus on safety, creating a better working environment for employees. The project was realized in close cooperation with the Qingpu Government.
"China is leading the way in many technologies, and our customers are driving that progress. That is why we are investing in R&D and application development right here, to develop the next solutions together with them. This new site gives us a better platform to do exactly that," says Henrik Ager, Group President and CEO of Höganäs Group.
The new investment supports Höganäs' ambition to become the globally preferred partner for sustainable powder materials and offers customers a resource-efficient alternative, supporting them in reducing material and energy consumption. Since establishing its presence in China in 1993, Höganäs has built a strong local organization serving customers across a broad range of industries. The Qingpu site marks the next step in that development and adds to the company's local capabilities.

The inauguration brought together customers, business partners, representatives from the Qingpu Government, the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai, as well as Höganäs' Board of Directors, owners and global leadership.
