9月6日，医科达工业园扩建工程开工典礼于北京昌平隆重举行。北京市昌平区人民政府、中国医学装备协会、北京市中关村科技园昌平园等相关领导及医科达公司管理层出席典礼并发表致辞。本次医科达工业园扩建工程将强有力地支持高能直线加速器多个项目新产品研发，更好地满足中国医院及放疗中心日益增长的直线加速器设备需求，是医科达深化中国市场本土化布局的又一里程碑事件。
on September 6th, the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Elekta Industrial Park expansion project took place in Changping, Beijing. Leadership from People's Government of Changping District Beijing, China Association of Medical Equipment, Beijing Zhongguancun Science Park Changping and the Elekta executives attended and addressed the meeting. Elekta Industrial Park expansion project will provide strong support to the research and development work of several new projects of linear accelerator, which will help to better meet the continuous increased demands of linear accelerator from hospitals and cancer centers in China. It is another milestone of Elekta for deepening the localization layout of China market.

In 2006, the research development and manufacturing base was firstly set up by Elekta in Changping, Beijing. It has been developed as Elekta’s largest design，R&D and manufacturing base in the world, with manufacturing capability of Elekta’s entire product portfolio. It is not only to promote the manufacturing, research and development level, but also build up the solutions that better matches users and patients in China.
至今，医科达北京基地的产值已提升了约40倍，未来一年，预计扩建工程建成后又将实现产能提升30%，将在很大程度上满足国内各级医院对高端放疗器械的需求。同时，这也必将加速高质量放疗产品和服务更快、更好地服务中国用户和患者。
The output value of Elekta Beijing Base has been increased by 40 times as much as it used to be. The expansion project will enable another 30% growth of the production capability, which will better meet the demand of premium radiotherapy devices from the hospitals of all levels in China largely. Meanwhile, providing radiotherapy devices with superior quality and better, faster service for the users and patients in China will be further enhanced.
