Managing Director (Plant Manager) in North China in a Multinational European based company (client confidentiality)
For our client, a Multinational European company, Mercuri Urval (MU) China is looking for a
Managing Director-Plant Manager
The successful candidate will:
- Be responsible for the entire operations of a manufacturing plant with over 2000 employees in total, including the management and coordination of daily activities to ensure high performance and production continuity
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed in the factory
- Provide leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment
- Collaborate with functional departments in the implementation of improvements
- Investigate and implement optimisation in manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality
- Manage external and internal key stakeholders
The ideal candidate has:
- Engineering background, a business management degree is a plus
- Proven track record in production management, experience in the heavy industry is preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in managing a cross functional team in a global organisation
- Solid management experience as a leader in China with strong communication skills to bridge with European HQ and global functions
- Experience in dealing with mechanical products, heavy industry engineering would be a plus
- Total fluency in English, Chinese language skill is a plus, but not a requirement
