Business Sweden Inaugurates New Office in Beijing with Expanded Space for Existing and New Partners

On November 9th, the team at Business Sweden in Beijing welcomed the local Swedish business community, fellow trade and invest facilitators, diplomats, Chinese companies, partners and Team Sweden members in China to the inauguration of our new office. The ribbon cutting ceremony was conducted together by Ambassador Helena Sångeland and Trade and Invest Commissioner and Vice President of East Asia and Pacific Joakim Abeleen.

Speeches were held, glasses were raised, and connections between new and old friends and business partners were formed throughout a fantastic evening. Guests were also treated to a special appearance by former Trade Commissioner Mats Harborn, who shared inspirational stories from early Swedish companies entering the Chinese market.

In these turbulent times, we believe it is more important than ever to stay close within the business community, and are incredibly grateful that so many took the time to strengthen our ties by jointly celebrating the inauguration of our new office, offering expanded space for both current and new Swedish business partners.

Seldom has our role as facilitators of trade, investment, partnerships, and exchanges across borders felt more important than it does today. Alongside our many initiatives, such as Pioneer the Possible and Health By Sweden, the opening of our new office space is another great step in our journey to help Swedish companies succeed in the Chinese market.

We are excited to be growing our footprint in China and look forward to continue assisting Swedish and Chinese companies in the years and decades to come.
