Vacancy: Culture promotion officer
The Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai is looking for a full-time promotion officer with a passion for Sweden to work on projects in the areas of culture, communication, and social issues starting in October 2020. The position is open to both Chinese and Swedish nationals.
Project management within areas related to Swedish culture, including but not limited to areas of communication, gender equality and social issues. Facilitating exchange between Sweden and China in the culture sphere.
Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably within promotion or creative industries. International work experience is a plus.
Documented experience of project management. Experience in budget management is an asset.
Strong sense of initiative, creativity, responsibility, and ability to work productively under pressure.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
Proficiency in the Swedish language is considered a strong asset.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize tasks independently.
Eagerness to partner effectively internally and externally, and contribute to the overall work of the Consulate’s promotion team.
The position will be open as of October 2020. The salary will depend on level of education, experience and other merits. The working hours are Monday – Friday 08.30 – 17.00. Overtime and work on weekends may occur, particularly during the execution phase of projects.
The Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai is centrally located and has 16 employees. The position as Culture promotion officer is an integral part of the Consulate’s promotion team, consisting of four people.
