Semcon Wins 2 Red Dot Awards

Essen, 9 April 2018 I Semcon is a Swedish technology company founded in 1980 with offices in more than 30 locations. As Semcon is one of SwedCham’s newest member companies, we would like to take the opportunity to give them both a warm welcome and also to congratulate them on winning the prestigious design award The Red Dot for the second year in a row.

This year companies and designers from 59 countries entered more than 6,300 innovations in the Red Dot Award, a higher number than ever before. The award-winning products often feature a combination of innovative and sustainable materials. Semcon won a total of two Reddots for designing a 3D printer for human tissue from CELLINK and a user-friendly rack system for bikes from Atran Velo. In 2017 Semon was also awarded for designing a marine searchlight from CLITE2IR and a drill core analyser manufactured by Orexplore.

Semcon in China produces market and after market information for telecom, automotive energy and life science sectors; focusing on developing products based on human needs and behaviours. Their offer and expertise cover information products and services such as user information, maintenance information, parts information and technical training, including management and control of the information production.
